How to Hook Up a Wireless PSP

All versions of the Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) feature a built-in wireless adapter that can be used to connect to your wireless Internet network. Once online, you can play multiplayer games, download new game content and use the Web browser. Although select content that you download may come with a price, connecting the PSP online is free.

Instructions

      Turn the PSP on and scroll to the "Settings" icon on the main menu. Select "Network Settings."

      Select "Infrastructure Mode." Select "New Connection." Select "Scan" and wait for the PSP to scan for wireless networks. Select your wireless network. If applicable, enter the wireless network's password.

      Select "Easy" as the address settings. Enter a name for the wireless connection on the PSP (by default, it will be MyConnection). Go over the information you entered and press the "Right" button on the directional pad. Press the "X" button to save the settings.

      Select "Test Connection." After the test is complete, the PSP will automatically connect to the network.
