How to Make a Pandora Battery Softmod

The Pandora battery, when used in conjunction with its modification software, unlocks your Sony's PlayStation Portable (PSP) to many possibilities with its custom firmware. With the custom firmware installed, you can backup your PSP games, play homebrew games and install and use other third-party applications. "Soft modding" your Pandora battery allows you to do even more with it.

PSP with Pandora battery
USB cable
Computer

Instructions

  Download the "OSPT_052.zip" file to your computer (See Resources for the link). Extract the contents of the downloaded file into a folder on the computer's desktop.

  Turn on your PSP, and connect it to the computer using its USB cable. On the PSP, scroll to "Settings" and select the "USB Connection" option by pressing the "X" button to enable USB mode.

  Copy the extracted folder of the "OSPT_052.zip" file. Navigate to PSP's drive on the computer and paste it in the "Game" folder. Press the "O" button to safely remove the PSP from the computer when the transfer is complete.

  Go to the games saved on your Memory Stick on the PSP. Select the "OS Pandora Battery Tool," and press the "X" button to continue.

  Scroll down to "Convert to Service mode," and press "X" to softmod your PSP battery to a Pandora battery. Exit the app when the process is completed.
