How to Plug in Component AV Cable for PSP

Your PSP is best known for portable gaming, but the device also handles multimedia playback. For instance, you can pop in a Sony Universal Media Disc to play movies or load your own music. If you want to share this media with other people on a larger screen, you can also hook up the console to a TV using a Sony PSP component AV cable. Once this is set up, you can transfer your PSP's video and sound to your TV.

Instructions

    • 1

      Power off the PSP.

    • 2

Plug the component AV cable's output connector into your PSP's headphone jack.

    • 3

Plug the other end of the PSP's component AV cable into your TV's component inputs. Match the colors on each of the five inputs to their respective plug-ins on your TV to properly connect the cable.

    • 4

Turn the PSP and TV on.

    • 5

Change the TV's input setting to "Component."

    • 6

Hold down the the PSP's "Display" button until your PSP's video appears on your TV.
