How to Install PSP 1000 Portals

PSP portals are set of web pages that, when installed on your PlayStation Portable (PSP) 1000 console, you can use to play games or run other applications. The portals are 100 percent free and not homebrew. Depending on the type of portal, you can access instant messenger services, Flash games and a unit converter on your PSP 1000.

  Download and save the PSP portal on your computer. See Resources if you don't have one already.

  Turn on your PSP, and connect it to your computer using the USB cable.

  Scroll to "Settings" on the PSP, and select "USB Connection" by pressing the "X" button.

  Navigate to the PSP's removable drive on your computer, and open it.

  Double-click on the root folder "PSP" to access its content.

  Drag and drop the PSP portal file into the "PSP" folder.

  Safely eject the device from your computer once the transfer of the PSP portal file to your PSP 1000 is complete.

  Start the web browser on your PSP.

  Press the "Triangle" button, and select "Tools."

  Delete the cookies and cache memory from your browser, and reboot the PSP.
