How to Download PSP M33

You can install independently created firmware, called custom firmware, onto the Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) in order to play PSP game backup files. A few different types of custom firmware are available, but one of the first and most secure is "M33." "M33" custom firmware can be downloaded from the Internet onto your computer and then transferred to your PSP.

      Click the Resource link to bring up the PSP "M33" custom firmware download page.

      Click the "Download File" button about halfway down the web page.

      Click the "Save" button from the small window that appears, and select a place to save the "M33" PSP custom firmware.

      Click "OK" to begin the download.

      Connect the PSP to the computer with the USB cable, and select "USB Connection" from the PSP's main menu. A window will appear on your computer.

      Click "View files/folders" to see the folders on the PSP memory stick.

      Locate the "M33" download from, and right-click it.

      Click "Copy" on the small menu that appears.

      Go into the PSP memory stick from the computer, and open the "PSP" folder.

      Right click the "GAME" folder, and click "Paste" to transfer the "M33" install to the PSP memory stick.

      Press the "O" button to disconnect the PSP from the computer.

      Select the "M33" icon in the PSP menu's game section to open the installer.

      Press the "X" button to install "M33" on the PSP.
