Things You'll Need
Instructions
Hold the PSP's "Power" button for about five seconds until the PSP turns off completely.
Push the battery hatch release button on the rear of the device to open the battery bay. Pull the battery out of the PSP.
Pull up the warranty sticker on the bottom edge of the empty battery bay to reveal two screws. Remove these screws with the screwdriver.
Remove the two screws on the top portion of the battery bay. Remove the two screws on the opposite end of the PSP. Remove the final screw on the bottom edge of the PSP. This makes seven screws in total. Make sure you place these seven screws aside so you don't lose track of them.
Gently pull the front cover off the PSP; you will see internals of the PSP. Disconnect the ribbon connection that connects the button bar to the motherboard. Pull the button bar off.
Insert the screwdriver in between the LCD screen and the screen bracket and twist slightly until the bracket tabs pop out. Fold the LCD screen down and disconnect the LCD screen connection ribbon. Remove the LCD screen from the PSP.
