How to Put ISO Games on a PSP With Official Firmware

The Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) is a handheld, portable gaming device that offers online gaming, the capability to download music and movies as well as multi-player gaming support. Games converted to the ISO format can be ideal for downloading onto the PSP so that you don't have to carry the discs with you when travelling with the PSP. It also helps to create disc backups so that you have extra copies of the games you favor.

Instructions

    • 1

Attach one end of the USB cable to the PSP's USB port and the other end to the computer's USB port.

    • 2

Turn on the PSP and the computer. Wait for the computer to recognize the PSP console.

    • 3

Click "Start," "Computer." Locate the PSP icon and click it. Locate the PSP memory stick and click it to open it.

    • 4

Locate the ISO game on the computer that you wish to put on the PSP. The game file should end with the extension ".iso."

    • 5

Copy the ISO file and drag it into the PSP Memory Stick icon. It should take a few minutes to an hour to complete the transfer (depending on the size of the file). Wait for the transfer to complete.

    • 6

Remove the USB cable from the computer and PSP ports to disconnect them. Navigate through the PSP main menu to locate the ISO game you just transferred.
