How to Install a New a PSP 1000 Front & Back Case

The Sony PlayStation Portable has a hardcover case that can be removed in order to replace it with a new, colorful one. PSP cases come in many different styles and covers, which means you can really make your PSP stand out from the rest. Sony has made it very easy to remove the old case and install a new one.

Things You'll Need

Phillips-head screwdriver
PSP replacement case

Instructions

  Remove the battery from the PSP to reveal four screws. Remove these screws and place them to the side.

  Remove two screws on the opposite end of the battery compartment and final screw on the bottom edge of the PSP. Place these three screws with the other four.

  Gently pull the covers off the PSP.
- 4
  Place the new rear cover onto the PSP first, followed by the front cover. Snap the two covers into place.
- 5
  Reattach the screws with the screwdriver and place the battery back into the PSP.
