How to Make a PSP Slim to 3.03 OE-A

Sony's PlayStation Portable Slim is a handheld video game device that was released in 2007. The PSP Slim uses firmware to run and perform its everyday tasks like playing PSP games. This firmware is created by Sony. Custom firmware (CFW) is also available for the PSP Slim. CFW is created by independent developers and allows many extra features on the PSP Slim. One of the CFWs available for the PSP Slim is called 3.03 OE-A.

Things You'll Need

Jigkick battery
Magic memory stick (MMS)

Instructions

  Turn the PSP Slim off and remove the battery and memory card from it.

  Insert the MMS into the PSP Slim memory card reader.

  Insert the jigkick battery into the PSP Slim and the PSP Slim will turn on.
- 4
  Press the "X" button on the PSP Slim gamepad to install the 3.03 OE-A.
- 5
  Press the "X" button on the PSP Slim again to complete the installation and shut off the PSP Slim.
- 6
  Remove the jigkick battery and MMS and reinsert the normal ones that you removed in Step 1. Turn the PSP Slim on and it will be running CFW.
