How to Mod a PSP Slim Using CFW

The Sony PSP Slim can be modded using custom firmware (CFW). Firmware is what operates the Sony PSP Slim. It is much like Windows on a PC. Custom firmware is firmware that is created by independent developers. Custom firmware allows PSP Slim users to do things like backup your PSP games to the PSP's memory stick and play them from there instead of the disc drive.

• Pandora battery
• Magic memory stick (MMS)

     Insert the MMS into the PSP Slim's memory stick reader.

     Insert the Pandora battery into the PSP Slim's battery compartment. Turn the PSP Slim on.

   • 3

     Press the "X" button to install custom firmware onto the PSP Slim.

   • 4

     Press the "X" button again to shutdown the PSP Slim.

   • 5

     Reinsert the normal battery into the PSP Slim and turn it on. It will now be running custom firmware.
