Turn off the PSP and remove its battery from the rear side of the device.
Insert the Magic Memory Stick into the PSP Memory Stick slot. Insert the Pandora battery into the PSP and it will turn on by itself. The Pandora battery is another name for a jigkick battery. The jigkick battery has a special boot code on it that makes the PSP go into service mode where the Magic Memory Stick then uses the files in its memory to install the new firmware onto the PSP.
Press the "X" button to downgrade the PSP Slim's firmware to 1.5.
Press the "X" button again to shut down the PSP Slim. Remove the battery and Memory Stick and reinsert the normal ones.
Turn the PSP Slim on, and you will now be running 1.5 firmware.
