How to Add Radio Stations to the PSP

The PSP has an Internet radio service that allows you to listen to radio stations with its built in Wi-Fi. To listen to an Internet radio station, you must first download the Internet radio player. You can choose from a certain number of radio stations and genres.

Instructions

      Turn on your PSP. Flip on the WLAN switch located on the left side of the PSP.

      On the home screen, navigate to "Network" and then to "Internet Radio" and press the "X" button. Highlight "About Internet Radio" and press the "X".

      Select "Adding an Internet radio player" and press "X".

      Choose from one of the four available (as of software version 6.35) Internet radio players: Internet Radio Player I from SHOUTcast, Internet Radio Player II from ICECAST, the "CLIP" Internet radio player series and the "One Switch Radio" Internet radio player series. When you have decided on one, select "Add the player to Memory Stick Duo media" for that player.

      Scroll down and accept the license agreement. Select "Yes" to "Do you want to save this file?" Leave the destination as the default setting and click on "Save." The player will be automatically downloaded to the correct location.

      When it is finished downloading, press the "Home" button on the PSP to return to the main screen. The icon for the player will be found under "Network" and "Internet Radio." Highlight the player and press the "X" button. Select "Yes" to the "Do you want to run the plug-in embedded in this page?" message.

      Scroll down and click the genre you want to listen to, and the station will be played. Single-genre Internet radio players will simply play the music.
