How to Check Memory on My PSP

Although the Playstation Portable (PSP) includes 32 MB of internal memory, that is not enough space to save anything more than a few game saves. Unless you're using the PSP Go (which comes with its own 16 GB hard drive), a memory stick is required if you want to add additional content such as music, movies or photos to the PSP. You can check how much memory is available on the PSP and/or the memory stick within the PSP menu.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert the memory stick into the Memory slot on the PSP if you're using one.

    • 2

Use the directional pad to scroll to the "Memory Stick" icon on the PSP main menu (XMB).

    • 3

Highlight "System Storage" and press the "X" button. The amount of free space will be listed.
