Things You'll Need
Instructions
View your PSP's screen at an angle and inspect for any evident cracks. If you see any cracks, the device requires a new screen. If the screen does not look broken, open the battery cover on the back of the device and make sure the battery is correctly inserted within the device by fully touching the connection pins.
Turn on the device. If the screen does not turn on, plug it into the PSP charger and allow it an hour to charge. Once it has charged, disconnect the PSP from the charger. Hold the power switch for 20 to 30 seconds and release. Wait a few minutes, as this will reset some internal parts of the PSP.
While the device is off, place a UMD in the PSP and turn on the device again. However, this time hold the "Screen Brightness" button down, located on the top of the PSP near the UMD slot opening.
