Performance MultiPlayer Adapter Instructions for the PS2

The Sony Playstation 2 (PS2) differs greatly from other sixth generation home gaming consoles due to the fact it does not support four-player simultaneous play. However, while the PS2 has only two controller ports, there are multiplayer adapters, such as the one made by Performance, that easily plug into one of your PS2 controller ports to allow four players to play a PS2 game at one time. The procedure for hooking this up is simple.

     Connect the cord coming from your Performance Multiplayer Adapter to the first-player controller port on your PS2. This port is the left controller port located on the front of the PS2.

     Connect your PS2 controllers to the controller ports located on the Performance Multiplayer Adapter.

     Insert the multiplayer game of your choice into the PS2 and turn your PS2 on to begin playing.
