Can You Use Rock Band Drums on Guitar Hero?

The "Rock Band" and "Guitar Hero" video games and video game accessories allow gamers to enjoy a simulation of what it would be like to be in a band and play music together. Although the video game brands are similar in gameplay, there has been some confusion as to whether or not the "Rock Band" drum peripherals (controllers) are compatible with the "Guitar Hero" brand video games.

Guitar Hero
- Activision's "Guitar Hero" video game franchise allows gamers to play drum video game peripherals, much like a real drum set, similar to Harmonix's "Rock Band" video games. "Guitar Hero" brand video games can be played on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 and 3, and the Nintendo Wii.
Xbox 360
- The Xbox 360 allows all "Rock Band" brand drum peripherals, like the "The Beatles: Rock Band" Ludwig Drums, to play on any "Guitar Hero" brand video game where drum gameplay is acceptable.
PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3
- The PlayStation 2 and 3 allows all "Rock Band" brand drum peripherals to play on any "Guitar Hero" brand video game where drum gameplay is acceptable.
Nintendo Wii
- The Nintendo Wii is the only video game console where "Rock Band" brand drum peripherals will not play on any of the "Guitar Hero" brand video games.
