How to Fix a Guitar on Wii Rock Band

Fret Button Quick Fix

  Remove the fret button by getting your fingernail under the button and pulling it as if you were opening a soda can. If it won't come off this way, pry it off with a butter knife.

  Locate a small metal piece inside the button's hole. It is the shape of the letter "C" and should fit around the edge of the button. You should be able to dig it out of the hole with your fingers. This piece needs to be attached to the fret button.

  Snap the long edge of the metal piece into the two tiny clips on the back of the fret button. The short edges should wrap around the top and bottom of the button. Make sure the button is right side up and snap it back into the neck of the guitar. The button should be fixed.

Using the Warranty

  Go to the Rock Band warranty web-page. Click continue and it will ask you a series of diagnostic questions about your problem.

  Create an EA account. You'll need to give an email address and create a password. You will have to input personal information such as your name and address.

  Write down the "RMA" number the site gives you after it diagnoses the problem.

  Submit the receipt and "RMA" number via email, fax or mail to "Rock Band." The email and postal mail addresses are found on the website as well as the fax number. Once it is received, EA will either send you a replacement guitar or direct you to where your guitar can be fixed free of charge.
