Instructions
If you own a wireless Xbox 360 joystick, you must purchase the Xbox 360 wireless controller PC adapter to use the joystick with your PC.
The Microsoft Common Controller Driver enables the use of Xbox 360 joysticks on the PC. The necessary driver is located in the Microsoft Download Center. Download the necessary drivers.
Connect the joystick via USB. If you purchased an adapter, plug it in via USB and install the extra drivers. If you have a wired Xbox 360 joystick, plug it in to an available USB 2.0 port. Your PC should recognize the new device and automatically configure it.
Open the game you wish to play with the Xbox 360 joystick.
Configure the controller settings to allow you to use the Xbox 360 joystick. Most games default to mouse and keyboard controls. Go to the options or settings menu to set up the joystick.
