Place the Action Replay DS into your Nintendo DS console. Plug the USB cord into the base of the Action Replay DS, and then place the other end of the USB cable into an empty slot on your computer.
Place the Action Replay installation CD into your computer. It will load a setup wizard for you. It will tell you to click on the "Next" button to continue with installation or to click cancel to exit the setup and not install. Click "Next" to proceed with the installation.
Choose a destination folder. The next screen gives you a default folder to use. Use this default folder location unless you wish to place the folder elsewhere. Click the "Next" button to continue. The same goes for the next screen. It will ask you to choose a start menu folder name. Leave it the same.
Read the window showing you all the options you chose or didn't choose. Click the "Install" button. This screen will tell you to please wait so that the setup wizard can finish installing the Action Replay DS onto your computer. This may take a few minutes.
Notice the two check boxes after the installation is complete. One box will is "Read me" and the other is "Run Action Replay DS." Click on the "Run Action Replay DS" box, and then click the "Finish" button.
Click the "Next" button to continue onto the next screen. On this screen, it will ask you if you would like to create a shortcut icon on your desktop. Either click the box for yes, or leave it blank for no. Click the "Next" button to continue onto the next part of the installation.
