How to Set Up the Mic on Rockband Drums

If you love rocking out on Rock Band, you don't have to choose just one instrument at a time. You can plug the Rock Band mic directly into your Rock Band drums, so that you can both sing and play the drums at the same time. Or, if you are playing your Rock Band drums online, plugging the mic into your drums will allow you to chat with friends while you are playing Rock Band.

Instructions

  Locate the small black cord and adapter that came with your Rock Band set. The black cord is only about 4 inches longer and the adapter is gray and black.

  Plug the black cord into the mic. It will plug in on the hole in the bottom of the microphone.

  Attach the adapter to the cord. The other end of the black cord will plug into hole on one side of the black and gray adapter piece.

  Plug the adapter into the drums. The adapter has its own cord. The hole for this cord is at the front of the drums just in front of the control panel.

  Plug everything in before you turn on your console. If your mic isn't plugged in before you turn the unit on, it won't register the mic.
