How to Change the Wii-mote Volume

The Nintendo Wii-mote is an advanced video game controller. It comes with its own built-in speaker for sound and rumble effects. In some games, the Wii-mote speaker sound adds to or is different from the sound from your TV, enhancing the game effects. But adjusting the volume on your Wii-mote speaker isn't an obvious process. Here's how to increase that rumble or soften the tinny, annoying voice of a game character.

Instructions

    • 1

Power up your Nintendo Wii by pressing the power button located on the top front left-hand side of the Wii console.

    • 2

Power up your Wii-mote by pressing any button on it and pointing it towards your TV. This will take you to the main Wii menu.

    • 3

Press the "Home" button located on the center of the Wii-mote. This will bring up the "Home Settings" menu. At the bottom of the screen is the "Wii Remote Settings" tab. Place your cursor over this tab and press "A" on the Wii-mote. Now you can view the Wii-mote options.

    • 4

Place your cursor over the + (raise) or - (lower) button and press "A" on the Wii-mote to raise or lower the volume level. Do this until you are happy with the volume or rumble level.

    • 5

Place your cursor over the "Close Wii Remote Settings" and press "A" on your Wii-mote to exit the "Wii Remote Settings" menu. Your volume or rumble has been adjusted and you're all finished!
