Dual SFX Evolution Help

The Dual SFX Evolution controller, part of the SplitFish series, works with the Sony PlayStation 3 console or a Windows computer. The controller connects to your console or computer wirelessly, and it features a button layout that gives you a competitive edge while gaming. The Dual SFX Evolution consists of two parts, the EvoChuck and the FragChuck.
  1. Setup

    • The Dual SFX Evolution includes a USB wireless dongle that allows you to connect the controller to your PC or console. Plug the dongle into any free USB port. The controller requires six AAA batteries to operate wirelessly. Insert three AAA batteries into the FragChuck part of the controller and three AAA batteries into the EvoChuck. If you do not want to use batteries, connect the controller to the console with a mini USB cable. Press the "Power" button on the FragChuck and EvoChuck to connect the controller with the wireless dongle. By default, the controller is in game mode upon connection.

    Status Lights

    • The controller features a PS button light that alerts you to the status of the device. The light slowly blinks red when you need to replace or charge the batteries. It quickly blinks red if you try to recharge disposable batteries or if the batteries are defective. When the button blinks blue, the controller is ready to pair with the console or computer. The button turns solid blue after pairing successfully. The button flashes cyan when the controller is in Programmed Motion Over-Ride (pMo) mode. It turns solid cyan when in swap mode.

    Motion Sensing and Control

    • The Dual SFX Evolution has the ability to read your hand and arm movements. If you want to change the motion sensitivity, hold down the "LF," "L3" and "Up" buttons simultaneously. Tap the "Up" or "Down" button to increase or decrease sensitivity. Release the "L3" or "LF" button to confirm the setting.
The right analog stick allows you to perform many functions while playing games. If desired, you can use motion control to perform these actions instead. To activate motion control, press "RF," hold down "R3" and left-click the semiwheel. Move the EvoChuck up, down, left or right to use motion control.

    Modes

    • The Dual SFX Evolution offers several modes that allow you to customize the controller. Programmed Motion Over-Ride (pMo) mode enables motion control for individual buttons on the controller. To enter pMo mode, hold down the "pMo" and "LF" buttons together. Tap the desired button to enable motion control for it.
Swap mode switches the functions of the left and right analog sticks. To enter swap mode, hold down the "SWAP" and "LF" buttons together. Hold the buttons down again to exit the mode.
Macro mode lets you assign button combinations to a single button. Tap the "Macro" button on the EvoChuck or the FragChuck. Tap any button and then tap the combination of buttons you want to assign. Press "Macro" again to set it.

    Product Care

    • If cared for properly, your Dual SFX Evolution will last for years. SplitFish recommends that you download the latest firmware for the controller if you want to tweak the controller's functions. To download the firmware, visit the Support section of the SplitFish website. If you do not plan to use the controller for several days, remove the batteries. Only clean the controller with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use chemicals to clean the controller.
