Instructions
Left-click on the SST profiler icon, on the taskbar at the lower right of the PC screen.
Select "Profile Editor" from the pop-up menu. The Profile Editor will open in a window showing a picture of your controller at the left and a menu listing the buttons of your controller on the right.
Click on one of the buttons in the picture of your controller. Alternatively, press the button itself on the controller. The corresponding menu item at right will light up, and a cursor will appear in the box.
Type the keystrokes you want to activate in the highlighted cell. For instance, you could input "T" and "shift+" if your game used those keystrokes to activate an option.
Click the green check mark to accept the keystrokes you've input. Click the red X to close the box without accepting the keystrokes.
Name the button command when asked.
Hit "Return."
Click the "Test Profile" icon at the top of the Profile Editor screen. The Testing window will open.
Press the programmed button on your controller. The keystrokes will appear in the Testing window if you have followed the steps correctly.
Repeat the whole procedure in the Profile Editor for each button you wish to program.
Click on the "Save" icon at the top of the Profile Editor window when you are done assigning keystrokes to buttons, then name the file and press "Enter."
