How to Use EasyCap Pal for XBox

The EasyCap is a USB video capture device that allows you to record audio and video signals from external A/V devices such as a video game console. It's useful if you want to record cut scenes or keep track of your game playing achievements. If you have a PAL Xbox or Xbox 360, there are a few changes you must make in the software before you can record.

Instructions

    • 1

Install the Ulead software and drivers that came with your Easy Cap device.

    • 2

Plug the yellow composite video cable leading from the Xbox 360 into the yellow female connection on the Easy Cap. Plug the red and white audio cables into the matching female connections.

    • 3

Connect the USB cable to the USB port on the Easy Cap. Plug the other end into a USB port on your computer.

    • 4

Open the Ulead software from the Windows Start menu and click the "Capture" tab.

    • 5

Select "Capture Video" and click the "Options" button.

    • 6

Select "Video Composite" for the input source and choose "PAL" for the TV System. Chose "USB Audio Interface" as the Audio device and check the "Preview audio with USB device" box.

    • 7

Click the "Capture" tab and set the Compression field to "YUY2." Leave the Frame size field to the default 640 by 480 and click "OK."
