How to Fix a Short in an XBox RCA Jack

The Xbox is a sixth-generation home gaming console, developed and released by Microsoft, that comes with a special RCA cable to connect it to TVs. Sometimes, the wire can be severed slightly, separating one of the two internal cable wires and causing a short. To repair this, you just need simple electronics tools.

Things You'll Need

• Soldering gun, with solder
• Duct tape

     Apply a drop of solder from your soldering gun to the exposed wire.

     Press the exposed wire into its normal position using your hands. Wait until the solder hardens.

   • 3

     Wrap the newly soldered section of cable with duct tape. Test the cable by connecting it to the Xbox and TV, and playing your Xbox.
