How to Clear Up Room on an N64 Controller Pak

When trying to save your progress in a game on your Nintendo 64 Controller Pak, you might sometimes receive an error warning that there is not enough free space on it to create a new game file. The Controller Pak is an accessory for the Nintendo 64 video game console that, once plugged into a controller, allows you to save your progress while in-game. You can free up space on the Nintendo 64 Controller Pak by using a dedicated menu.

     Connect the controller containing the Nintendo 64 Controller Pak to the slot labeled "1" on your console.

     Press and hold the "Start" button on your controller and press the "Power" key on the Nintendo 64 console to turn it on.

     Select the game save you want to delete by using the controller's directional pad.

     Select "Delete" and press the "X" key on the controller to delete the game save and free up space on the Nintendo 64 Controller Pak.
