How to Connect the Rod for Rapala Pro Bass Fishing

A number of video games now come with console accessories to enhance gameplay. Rapala Pro Bass Fishing is a game for the PS3 which comes with a "rod" controller, complete with reel. You can hook the rod up to your PS3 via the USB ports for the wireless connection and then set about catching your prize. Once the rod is assembled, it cannot be taken apart again.

Instructions

  Slide the reel handle into the provided slot on the main controller, on the left- or the right-hand side, depending on your preference. Snap the reel cap onto the axle that protrudes from the opposite side of the controller to hold the reel in place.

  Insert the rod section into the provided slot on the main controller until it snaps into place.

  Slide the battery cover off the base of the main controller. Insert two AA batteries in the indicated orientation and close the battery cover.

  Plug the USB receiver into one of the PS3's USB ports.

  Press the "PlayStation" button on the top of the controller to turn it on. Insert the Rapala Pro Bass Fishing disc into the PS3's disc drive. Navigate to the game menu. Press the "X" button to begin the game.
