How to Make Your Own Gametrak Gloves

The Gametrak is a brand of 3D gaming control systems; Gametrak uses motion sensitivity to pick up on a gamer's actions and translates them into a gesture or movement within the video game. Gametrak is used with golfing and racing game titles. Users can wear Gametrak gloves that help the game sense their movements; if your Gametrak gloves become worn out, you can transfer the sensors to a new pair of gloves you can make at home.

Instructions

    • 1

Use the seam ripper to disassemble your worn out Gametrak gloves. Remove the Gametrak sensor wires and bars from the gloves, and set them aside.

    • 2

Take the fingerless gloves and turn them inside out. Cut the bottom cuff off the gloves and set the material aside; this material will be used later.

    • 3

Arrange the Gametrak sensor wires along the palms of the fingerless gloves while they are turned inside out. Cut a narrow slit along the sides of both gloves and pull the Gametrak sensor bars through the holes. Sew the slits back in place to keep the sensor bar firmly in place.

    • 4

Place the material you cut from the cuff of the gloves over both sensors. Sew the material over the sensor wires; this will keep them securely in place and protect them from environmental damage.

    • 5

Test out the new Gametrak gloves with your Gametrak console. Since the sensors from the gloves are still usable, the new gloves will work with the system.
