How to Make a Rapid Fire Mod Without a Resistor

Getting the ultimate advantage for your shooter video games is possible by adding a rapid fire modification to the game controller. You can modify it so that it increases your shooting speed by holding down the controller button instead of having to rapidly tap the button. This works for regular game play as well as multiplayer online games. If you want to build up your online reputation by dominating game play, this modification will give you that advantage.

Instructions

    • 1

Flip the controller face down and use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the five screws on the back of the controller. Place the screws aside where they won't get lost.

    • 2

Locate the clasp at the bottom of the controller. Press the center of the clasp down and pull the face of the controller away from the back. The controller will separate down the seam. Set the backside of the controller aside and set the faceplate down so the electrical components face you.

    • 3

Unclip the battery from the center of the controller and remove it to reveal the motherboard. Insert the wires from the "Intensifire" into the "Player 3" and "Player 4" slots at the top right corner of the motherboard. Pull back the plastic strip covering the "Intensifire Chip." Place the chip over the "IC Chip" in the center of the motherboard.

Place the battery over the "Intensafire Chip" and clip the battery into place. Bring the two halves of the controller back together and secure them by inserting the screws and tightening them with a Philips head screwdriver.
