How to Hook Up an AX 720 With a PS3

Optical digital cable
USB cable

Instructions

  Connect an optical digital cable to the optical port on the back of the PS3.

  Connect the other end of the optical cable to the optical port on the back of the AX 720 Amp unit.

  Connect the USB cable to the USB port on the front of your PS3 console.

  Connect the other end of the USB cable to the USB port on the back of the AX 720 Amp.

  Turn on your PS3, scroll to the "Settings" tab and select "Accessory Settings."

  Select "Audio Device Settings" and set the Input and Output audio device to "C-MEDIA USB."

  Select "Audio Settings" from the "Settings" tab on the PS3.

  Select "Audio Output Settings" and set the output method to "Digital Out (Optical)."

  Check the box for "Dolby Digital 5.1" to enable Dolby Digital audio. Deselect "DTS 5.1" if it is selected, as this can cause audio problems with some games.
