How to Connect a Nyko HD-Link to a TV

The Nyko HD-Link is a component cable that connects your Nintendo Wii or Sony PlayStation 3 to a high-definition television. The cable contains gold-plated Y, Pb and Pr component cables that connect to the corresponding ports on your HDTV. The gold plating keeps the cables' ends from corroding. The Nyko HD-Link contains a single AV Multi Out connector specific to the type of gaming system you have. The Nyko HD-Link supports widescreen video output and 480p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p resolutions.

Instructions

  Turn off your Nintendo Wii or Sony PS3 system and your high-definition television. Turn both devices around so the back of the units are facing you.

  Plug the Nyko HD-Link's AV Multi Out connector into your gaming system's AV Multi Out port on the back of the device. The connector will only go in one way.

  Locate the Y, Pb, and Pr component ports on the back of your television. The ports will be labeled. Plug the component cables on the Nyko HD-Link into the corresponding ports on the back of your television.

  Turn both devices around and turn them on. Your gaming system will automatically detect the Nyko HD-Link and start transmitting audio and video to your high-definition television.
