How to Make a Racing Chair Vibrate

Racing chairs for home gaming consoles allow you to realistically drive a car using actual foot pedals and a steering wheel. Depending on the make and model of your chair, it will come with features and options to further the simulation experience. Most racing chairs have rumble-enabled technology that allows them to sync with the console and vibrate with the actions of the game, similar to the way your controller does.

  Connect your racing chair to your console. While oversized, the racing chair is still essentially a controller, so it must connect to your console the way a normal controller would, typically through a wireless connection.

  Turn on your chair. Most racing chairs either take large D batteries or have to be plugged into an outlet. Ensure your chair has an adequate power supply and turn on the device.

  Start a game. It can be a racing game or a completely different genre. The chair will automatically receive and act on all vibration commands sent from the console.
