Instructions

    • 1

Flip the controller face down and unscrew the screws on the back of it using a jewelers Phillips screwdriver. Put the screws in a safe place where they will not get bumped and misplaced, such as in a baggie or plastic container

    • 2

Fit the end of the flat-edged jewelers screwdriver between the seams of the controller. Wiggle the screwdriver until the connection starts to loosen and separate the two halves. Set the face plate of the controller aside and set the back side down so you can see the motherboard.

    • 3

Use wire strippers to strip the red and black wires of the momentary switch. Locate the 3 contacts directly under the fire button on the motherboard. Solder the red wire to the middle contact. Solder the black wire to the contact located at the top-left corner of the motherboard labeled "GRND."

    • 4

Spray the motherboard with compressed air. Apply rubbing alcohol to a cotton swab and wipe down the face plate.

    • 5

Use the portable drill to drill a hole in the lower right corner of the face plate. Thread the momentary switch through the hole. Reunite the two sides of the controller and tighten the screws with the jewelers Phillips screwdriver.

    • 6

Rub a dab of bonding glue to the back of the switch and push the switch firmly on the lower corner of the controller's faceplate. Flick the momentary switch when you want to use rapid fire.
