How to I Get My Wired Tritton Microphone to Work for My PS3

The PS3 gaming console has USB input ports that support a variety of electronic devices, including controllers and headsets. It is possible to use a wireless Bluetooth headset with your PS3, but if you have a wired headset, such as a Tritton gaming headset, it will connect via the USB port on the console. Setup of your headset won't take long and when it is finished you will be able to communicated with other gamers while you play using the built-in mic.

  Power on your PS3 and plug the Tritton wired headset into one of the four available USB ports on the front of the unit.

  Use the directional pad on the game controller to scroll to "Settings" in the main menu screen and press "X" to enter the settings menu.

  Scroll to "Audio Settings" and press "X." Ensure that the output listing is set to "Headset." if it isn't scroll through the output options until you come to "Headset" and press "X" to save. You will now be able to communicate through the microphone.

  Begin a game with other players and use the volume wheel on the headset cord to adjust the volume to your liking. Adjust movable mic to your liking as well. You can now speak directly into the mic.
