How to Sync a Mad Catz PS3 Controller With a USB

Mad Catz is a company that manufacturers third-party peripherals for video game consoles such as the PlayStation 3 (PS3). Mad Catz PS3 Controllers are wireless controllers that utilize a USB drive that is connected to a USB slot in the PS3. This USB drive receives the wireless signal from the Mad Catz controller. The Mad Catz controller must be synced to your PS3 properly before you can enjoy using it.

  Open the battery compartment lid of the Mad Catz PS3 controller and insert 2 AA batteries. Close the lid afterward.

  Insert the USB receiver that came with the Mad Catz PS3 controller into an empty USB slot on your PS3 game console. The LED of the receiver will begin to flash, indicating it is connecting to the controller.

  Press the "Home" button on the Mad Catz controller after the LED stops flashing. The controller is now synced with your PS3.
