The PlayStation 3 was the first video game console to be compatible with Bluetooth devices, and it has included the technology in all of its controllers. Many of the console's accessories, including the Bluetooth headset, use the technology to connect to the console. If you are unfamiliar with Bluetooth devices, or are used to the conventional discovery mode, you may be confused on how to connect the device to your computer via a USB cable.

Turn on the PlayStation 3.

Connect the USB cord that came with the accessory to both the PS3 and Bluetooth device. The USB ports on the PlayStation 3 are found on the front of the console. Once connected, the lights, if any, on the Bluetooth device will flash.

Remove the cord to finish the pairing. The Bluetooth device will automatically be synced to the PS3 anytime you turn it on.
