Instructions
Charge your Dualshock wireless controller if the LED light is blinking and the device becomes unresponsive. To do so, connect one end of the USB cable into the USB port on the controller, then connect the other end into an open USB port on your console. Let the controller charge completely. The batteries of Dualshock controllers will slowly run out of power even when the controller is not in use.
Pair your controller with your PS3 system if the LED light is blinking and the device is unresponsive. If the device isn't paired with your system, the controller won't be able to communicate with the system. To do so, connect the controller to your computer using the USB cable. Press the "PS" button and wait for your system to assign the controller a number. A red light will appear on the controller next to the number assigned to it.
Turn the controller off for a few minutes if the LED light is still blinking, and then turn it back on. This procedure usually reboots the device.
Locate the Reset button on the back of your controller if you are still experiencing difficulty. Using a pointed object, press the "Reset" button. This resets the controller back to the default settings.
