How to Use the Xbox Controller for Action Replay

Datel's Action Replay is a device that allows you to cheat with your video games. The Xbox version of the Action Replay device is a USB flash drive that allows you to store all of your cheats for your games in one location, similarly to a memory card for other gaming consoles. As with other models of Action Replay devices, you must use your Xbox controller to interact with the menus on your Xbox Action Replay.

Instructions

  Navigate through the Action Replay menus on your TV screen by pressing the directional pad or by pushing on the left thumbstick. As you press these buttons, you will highlight menu options. These options also work for the virtual keyboard that you must use when manually entering codes and other data.

  Press "A" to select a menu option. As with most Xbox video games, "A" is the default button for confirming choices in the Action Replay menus. You will occasionally be asked to confirm choices by selecting "Yes" or "No" from a prompt box; press "A" to confirm these choices as well. When using the virtual keyboard to input data, press "A" to enter each character.

  Press "B" to go back to a previous screen or cancel an action. Just as the "A" button is generally the default for confirming actions, "B" is the default for canceling them. Any time you want to return to a screen you were working on earlier, press "B" until you get back to that screen.
