How to Set UltraSurf to Play World of Warcraft

"UltraSurf" is a privacy and security tool used by video gamers to access an online game's servers through a separate set of ports. It requires only an Internet browser. Online games use firewalls to prevent players from using performance-boosting programs, but changing your path to a server can increase your connection speed and offer limited protection against malicious software.

Instructions

  Run the UltraSurf program, either by clicking its link in the "Start" menu or by opening it from the desktop.

  Allow a window of your default browser to open, and keep it open for the duration of your "World of Warcraft" play.

  Launch the "World of Warcraft" game on your computer. Enter your login information on the title screen.

  Select a server and character when prompted, and then click "Enter World." UltraSurf connects to the proxy service automatically.
