How to Make an NES Zapper USB-compatible

The Zapper accessory for the Nintendo Entertainment System expanded the possibilities of a home gaming system by allowing the player to interact directly with the TV when it was introduced in 1985. Shooting the Zapper at a moving graphic target on the screen brought a level of interactivity to video games not seen before. Even though the NES has long since been replaced by more modern video game systems, nostalgia for the older systems (and their controllers) have allowed controllers such as the NES Zapper to be used on a modern computer through a USB connection.
