How to Use My Universal Controller for SNES Emulators

An SNES emulator is a computer program designed to simulate the working of an SNES game system, also known as a Super Nintendo Entertainment System. While it is not illegal to own an SNES emulator, the use of copyrighted software without permission from the game's publisher is not legal. Independent software designed for use in the emulator and the use of the program itself is allowed. Game files called ROMs are what the emulator loads. These can be controlled with any Windows-compatible game controller.

     Plug your controller into one of the free USB slots on your PC. Wait for Windows to configure the controller.

     Launch your SNES emulator.

     Open the settings to modify input devices within the emulator. This will be accessible from the emulator's main "Config" or "Settings" menu.

     Click the "Set Keys" or "Set All" button. When prompted, press the buttons on your controller that you want to correspond to the SNES buttons in the prompt.

     Save the settings if they do not save automatically.
