Astro A40 Instructions

Online gaming frequently requires the use of both a headphone set and a microphone. The Astro A40 combines both, providing an adjustable headphone set that has an optional microphone mount. Special cables are included with the product packaging that can be used to quickly connect the A40 to either a pre-amp input or directly to your personal computer. The headphones can also be connected directly into an MP3 player and used as a standalone audio listening device.

Instructions

  Place the solid SPEAKER TAGS into the slot located at the exterior of both the right and left side of the A40 headset when you would like to use the headphone without the microphone attachment.

  Add voice functionality to the headset by using the speaker tag with the hole in the side to mount the microphone to the headset. Place the SPEAKER TAG into the right or left side exterior slot, then insert the microphone into the SPEAKER TAG hole and adjust the end of the mic so that it resides near to your mouth.The SPEAKER TAG and microphone can be placed on either side of the headset.

  Connect the A40 Headset to an Astro MixAmp by connecting the Standard Quick Disconnect Cable that is included in the manufacturers packaging to the MixAmp and then to the A40 Headset's Quick Disconnect.

  Connect the A40 to a PC by connecting the PC Quick Disconnect Cable that is included in the manufacturers packaging to both the PC and the A40 Headset Quick Disconnect, then plug the microphone and audio connectors into the corresponding jacks on the PC.

  Use the A40 Headset with an MP3 player or other standard audio device. Connect the Standard Quick Disconnect Cable the Quick Disconnect on the A40 Headset. Plug the headset into any device with a 3.5mm stereo output jack. If the device you wish you use has a 1/4 -inch stereo output jack, use the adapter that is included with the A40.
