Turn on your PlayStation 3. Go to your "System Settings" on your dashboard. Click "System Update." This will install the latest firmware on your console if you don't already have it.
Return to the main "Settings" screen and click "Accessory Settings." Click "Manage Bluetooth Devices." Select the "Yes" option to register a Bluetooth device.

Select on-screen the Bluetooth device that is your headset. Enter a four-digit code as your pass key when asked to insert it on-screen. "0000" is one of the more popular codes to use as it is the easiest to remember.
Return once more to the "Settings" screen. Select "Audio Settings" and then "Input/Output Settings." Select your headset on the screen to set it as the default headset.
