How to Play Halo on Crossover Cable

"Halo: Combat Evolved" is a first-person shooter game for the Microsoft Xbox, known for its multi-player mode. While most multi-player games are played using the "Xbox Live" online system, you can also play a multi-player game by connecting two Xbox consoles directly to each other. This is done with the use of a special Ethernet cable known as a "Crossover Cable."

Instructions

    • 1

Connect one end of your Crossover cable to the Ethernet port on the back of your first Xbox.

    • 2

Connect the other end of the cable to the Ethernet port on the back of your second Xbox.

    • 3

Turn both Xbox consoles on. Insert your "Halo" game discs into each of the Xbox console's disc slots.

    • 4

Select the "Multi-player" mode in one of your "Halo" game's main menu, and choose to host a game.

    • 5

Select the "Multi-player" mode in your other "Halo" game's main menu, and choose to join a game. You will now be able to play a multi-player game between the connected Xbox consoles.
