How to Center the Wheel on a Logitech Force Feedback Pro

Logitech manufactures a series of steering wheel controllers for racing games on home console and computer gaming systems. The Driving Force Pro Force Feedback Wheel was designed for driving games on the PlayStation 2. When you start a new game on the PlayStation 2, the wheel is not centered, or calibrated, to work with the game. The game you are playing will not respond correctly to your controller movements if the wheel is not centered prior to playing.

Instructions

    • 1

Plug the small end of the power cord into the power jack on the back of the Driving Force Pro steering column and plug the larger end into a power outlet.

    • 2

Connect the end of the foot pedal wire into the large connecting jack next to the power jack. Plug the USB cord connected to the back of the steering column to one of the two USB jacks on the front of the PlayStation 2.

    • 3

Press the "Power" button on the front of the PlayStation 2 and insert the driving game you want to play. Wait for the game to load before continuing to Step 4.

    • 4

Turn the steering wheel fully to the left and then fully to the right to calibrate the controller and center the wheel for the game. The LED indicator light above the directional controller on the left side of the steering wheel will turn on when the wheel is calibrated.

    • 5

Repeat Step 4 before a race if the LED light turns off while playing the game.
