How to Use a Wii Zapper

The Wii Zapper is an accessory for the Nintendo Wii system that allows the player to use the Wii Remote and Nunchuck together as a gun. The Wii Zapper is used for shooting games, and comes with a mini game for the Wii called Link's Crossbow Training. Pointing the Wii Zapper at the screen causes the cursor to move around, providing for greater accuracy. Players aim the Zapper by looking down the barrel, just as they would a real gun.

Instructions

  Remove the cable storage cover on the grip of the Wii Zapper by pressing and sliding it toward the bottom of the Zapper. Set the cover aside.

  Swing open the Nunchuck lock on the back of the Zapper, and place the Wii Nunchuck into the slot. Make sure the projections on the Zapper fit in the screw holes on the Nunchuck.

  Pass the cable through the slot at the bottom of the Nunchuck lock door and the channel on the bottom of the Zapper. Wind the cord around the projections under the cable storage door, leaving some slack to connect the cord.

  Replace the cable storage door, making sure the cord for the Nunchuck fits in the slot in the door.

  Thread the wrist strap cord on the bottom of the Wii Remote through the hook on the edge of the Nunchuck connector.

  Place the Wii Remote into the slot at the front of the Wii Zapper. Press down on the Wii Remote lock, and snap it into place.
