Things You'll Need
Instructions
Read the system requirements for the gaming receiver on the package and compare with your system specs to see that your system is compatible. You need Windows XP with least Service Pack 1 or a newer version of Windows. Your hardware must include a 300 MHz CPU, at least 128 MB RAM, at least 150 MB of available hard disk space, one free USB port and one CD-ROM drive.
Insert charged batteries into the controller or charge up the controller's batteries, if necessary. Plug the controller into your PC or Xbox with its provided USB cable to charge it, or use a Microsoft Xbox 360 quick charge kit.
Insert the setup disc into your computer and install the necessary software from the Wireless Gaming Receiver CD. If the installation software does not begin automatically, click "Start," "Computer" and double-click on your CD drive to start the installation.
Insert the receiver's USB plug into one of your computer's USB ports. Often these ports are on the front or the back of the computer.
Press the green "Xbox Guide" button in the center of the controller to turn the controller on.
Press the connection button on the wireless receiver and wait until you see a green light on it.
Press the connection button on your wireless controller to complete the connection. The controller connection button is located on the front of the controller near the left trigger button. It's just below and to the right of the "Microsoft" imprint.
