Things You'll Need
Instructions
Unplug the controller. Remove all batteries from the controller.
Use a screwdriver to take apart the controller. Place the screws in a location where you can easily find them later and not misplace any screws. Separate the controller into major pieces. Generally, you will have two major pieces in a controller, along with an circuit board. Fill a sink with warm and soapy water.
Wash all parts, excluding electrical ones, in the warm soapy water. This will remove all sticky problems with buttons. You can use a sharp knife to help clean the buttons. Do so carefully, as you don't want to cause further damage to your controller. After you wash the parts, rinse them with water and dry them with a towel and allow to air-dry. Reconnect the controller using the screwdriver. Place the batteries back in the controller and plug it in to the videogame console.
