How to Program a Nyko XBox 360 Remote

The Nyko XBox 360 intelligent remote can be programmed to use the other devices in your entertainment center, such as your television and DVD player. Unlike many universal remotes, the Nyko does not require you to input codes. To program the remote you need to have the original device remotes on hand and you can only program up to 23 functions.

Original device remotes
2 AAA batteries

Instructions

  Install 2 AAA batteries into the Nyko XBox 360 remote. Remove the back cover and insert the batteries. Replace the cover.

  Place the Nyko remote on a flat surface. Place the original remote you want to program the Nyko to learn about 1 inch in front of the Nyko. Make the infrared sensors face each other.

  Press the TV button on the Nyko remote to establish that you are programming TV functions.

  Press the number button at the bottom of the Nyko remote you wish to program a function into. For example, press number 1 and then press the function on your original TV remote you wish to program as number 1 on the Nyko remote.

  Allow both remote infrared sensors to exchange the information.

  Test the function on the Nyko remote once programming is complete to make sure it learned the function.

  Repeat the process with each function from your TV remote you wish to program into the Nyko remote. Test each one to ensure the program was learned.

  Follow the same procedure with your DVD and other entertainment remotes. When complete, you can access your entertainment center using only the Nyko remote.
