Things You'll Need
Instructions
Close your Nintendo SP and place it upside down on a flat working surface.
Remove the battery compartment cover with a flat-head screwdriver. Discard the rechargeable battery and place the cover off to the side.
Trim two lengths of copper wire down to approximately 4 inches and strip the ends of one-half inch of wire sheathing.
Wrap one end of the first wire around the uppermost terminal post within the rechargeable battery compartment. Wrap one end of the second wire around the lowermost terminal post.
File down the bottom right corner of the battery compartment cover with a rough file tool to allow room for the copper wires. Replace the cover on the Nintendo SP with a twist of your flat-head screwdriver.
Wrap the opposite end of the first wire around the positive terminal of a 3 AA battery holder. Wrap the opposite end of the second wire around the negative terminal.
Adhere a small strip of Velcro to the rear face of the battery holder. Adhere the complementary strip of Velcro to the battery compartment cover on your Nintendo SP.
Insert three AA batteries into the battery holder. The outside batteries will face one direction and the middle battery will face the other.
Press the battery holder onto the underside of your Nintendo SP to activate the Velcro strips, thereby securing the battery holder in place. Turn on your SP to test the battery connections and witness the brighter screen.
